Forest and shrubland with Quercus species.
Food plant
The larva is monophagous on Fagaceae (Quercus ilex, Quercus robur, and occasionally on Fagus sylvatica). Sometimes also on Rosaceae (Prunus), Tiliaceae (Tilia), Ulmaceae (Ulmus).
