Appearance

The forewings have ferruginous brown ground color and blackish, dark brown markings towards the edge. The hindwings are brownish-grey colored. The legs are whitish-colored.

Habitat

Gardens, fields, phrygana, shrubland.

Food plant
The larva is polyphagous and feeds on a variety of plants i.e. Solanaceae (Datura stramonium, Hyoscyamus albus), Compositae, Labiatae (Mentha, Stachys), etc.
