Habitat
Damp coastal habitats, stream-banks, roadside ditches, damp scrub and wood-land margins.
Food plant
The monophagous larva feeds on Compositae (Pulicaria dysenterica). During autumn, it inhabits old flower heads, feeding on the fruits that have been spun together with silk to form a narrow tube.
