The larva is polyphagous and feeds on fruits of several trees i.e. Anacardiaceae (Pistacia vera (Peanut)), Leguminosae (Ceratonia siliqua (Locust)), Juglandaceae (Juglans regia (Walnut)), Moraceae (Ficus carica (Fig)), Rosaceae (Prunus dulcis (Almond)), Vitaceae (Vitis vinifera (Vineyard)), Lythraceae (Punica granatum (Pomegranate)) etc. It is considered a harmful pest of these crops.
