Food plant
The larva is narrowly polyphagous on Cyperaceae (Carex riparia, Cyperus longus, Schoenoplectus lacustris, Scirpoides holoschoenus κ.α.), Juncaceae (Juncus articulatus κ.α.) and bores into the stem and the rhizome.
