Habitat

Rocky dry areas, deciduous and evergreen scrub, olive groves, and open coniferous woodland.

Food plant

The species is reported as possibly polyphagous. Among the host plants mentioned by various sources (see links), only Centaurea solstitialis is included in the island’s flora. This plant has a very limited distribution on the island and grows in the locations where the two depicted individuals were photographed. Nevertheless, further investigation is required to identify other possible host plants in the case of Crete.
