The Family Douglasiidae

The family Douglasiidae (Douglas moths) is a small family including around 28 species of moths worldwide. Tinagma is the largest genus of the family.

They are small-sized moths with an average 6-15 mm wingspan and with long fringes in their hindwings. 

The larvae are leaf miners or borers, primarily in stems and petioles of plants that belong to the families Boraginaceae, Labiatae, and Rosaceae.
