The moth can be found in xerophilous sunny slopes, shrubland, rocky places, forest fringes and clearings, and calcareous soils.

The larva feeds on several dry and withered plants, i.e. Convolvulaceae (Convolvulus), Dipsacaceae (Scabiosa), Polygonaceae (Polygonum), Compositae (Achillea, Taraxacum), etc.
