The larva is polyphagous and feeds on the leaves of a variety of plants i.e. Vitaceae (Vitis vinifera), Compositae (Hieracium, Taraxacum, Tanacetum vulgare), Brassicaceae (Brassica, Raphanus raphanistrum), Plantaginaceae (Plantago major), Urticaceae (Urtica), Poaceae (Gramineae), Apocynaceae (Vinca major), Rosaceae (Prunus spinosa, Rubus fruticosus, Sanguisorba minor), Fagaceae (Quercus robur), Cistaceae (Cistus salviifolius), Leguminosae (Lotus corniculatus, Medicago sativa), etc.
