Habitat
Calcareous soils, coastal areas, and grasslands.
Food plant
The larva is oligophagous on Umbelliferae, mainly on Daucus carota, but also on Eryngium campestre, Ferula communis, Crithmum maritimum, Conium maculatum, etc. It feeds on the umbels after flowering has ended, on the fruits.
