The probably polyphagous larva feeds on the rootstock of various plants, i.e. Plantaginaceae (Plantago lanceolata), Dipsacaceae (Dipsacus fullonum, Scabiosa, Knautia), Labiatae (Stachys), Compositae (Centaurea, Cirsium).
