Habitat

Tinagma ocnerostomella is found in coastal areas, in dry, warm habitats with shrubby vegetation and phrygana.

The larva is monophagous on Boraginaceae (Echium vulgare, Echium angustifolium). The young larva is found in the flowers, but later it bores into the stems, where it pupates.
