Appearance

The forewings are brown-grey, with some dark scales along faintly white-lined veins and dark grey fringes. The hindwings and the fringes are dark grey.

Many types of habitats where the food plant occurs e.g. disturbed areas, roadsides, cultivated fields, etc.

Food plant

The larva is monophagous on Portulacaceae (Portulaca oleracea) and feeds on the developing seeds.
